Porcini Mushroom Foraging

The woods of Val Curone, with chestnut and beech trees of the Piedmont Apennines, are an ideal place for porcini mushrooms in autumn.

We meet at Lùlù Guest House in Dernice and set off for the woods near San Sebastiano Curone. Together with an expert fungaiolo (mushroom forager), you learn to recognise where porcini grow and how to move through the woods while respecting nature.

Two and a half hours outdoors in the hills of the province of Alessandria, returning to Dernice afterwards.
